Fox Newswants advertisers , and it ostensibly does n’t need any pesky brightly lit hoarding trucks spoiling its suit saltation . The anti - Trump super PAC The Lincoln Project has been one of several groups using the notoriously glare mobile advert trucks to get its Fox - critical message across . In the PAC ’s belated effort to rag on the News Corp - owned connection , Fox News reportedly has upped the ante and hired its own , much bigger hoarding truck to spread its own message .
The Lincoln Project had employed a declamatory , bright billboard truck to go after Fox and disincentivize advertiser buy - in during the internet ’s annualUpfrontconference host in the first place this workweek . The case is supposed to get Fox peacock around to court companies to advertise on the connection . Images and video show the PAC parked its truck on the other side of the street near the Manhattan Center where Fox was hold its Upfront outcome .
On Monday good afternoon , the Lincoln Project lay claim in a tweet that Fox “ ram our billboard motortruck in front of their edifice to move . They prognosticate the fuzz there and fine our truck . It ’s a clear violation of our First Amendment right . ” The photo let in by the PAC showed the truck inside the discase shoulder joint on the inside of the cherry autobus lane . Other photos from Monday show there were a multitude of protest trucks parked on the same side of the street .

A Lincoln Project interpreter said in an e-mail statement that the truck was parked in melodic line for hours until 1:45 p.m. ET , when a pig on the scene “ tried to write a ticket . ” When a labor staff member ask the officer why , they were enjoin a “ Fox executive call several times ask for the motortruck to be removed . ” The truck then encircle around and park again , though in a different blot . Gizmodo reached Fox News for gossip and verification , but we did not hear back from either .

Though Fox did not substantiate it had called law Monday , the web instead shared several trope withMediaiteshowcasing its own hoarding trucks park in the same spot outside the Manhattan Center . The motortruck promoted that Fox “ Beats CNN and MSBNC ” among other messages about overall meshwork viewership . To append vilification to trauma , Fox ’s billboard trucks were much longer and even more glaring than the super PAC ’s were .
In a Tuesdaytweet , the Lincoln Project stated “ [ Fox News ] openly advertise hate and violence , but they ca n’t deal a house in their front yard . Do n’t worry , hold bounteous liars accountable is our favourite interest and we ’re not go anywhere . ”
The PAC was n’t the only anti - Fox chemical group out on Monday with a hoarding truck . activist from advocacy group MoveOn also brought a truck outside the Empire State Building while protesters stood outside hold mansion read “ Fox is Poison ” and “ Advertisers We are watching you . ” Pictures of the protests also show there were a multitude of hoarding hand truck stationed on the other side of the street from the Empire Center Monday morning . Gizmodo reached out to MoveOn ask if its trucks were also asked to go away , but we did not immediately see back .
Fox has been extra interested about its image since Fox News boniface Tucker Carlson ’s ouster , even going after Media Matters forreleasing behind - the - scenes picture of the ex - show host ’s put-on .
Fox had this Upfronton the docketsince at least February , month before its lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systemscame to a head . That courtship revealed emails and textual matter from EXEC and hosts like Carlson thatimplied they were focused more on ratingsthan how verified its 2020 election reporting was . Carlson gotbooted from the networkback in April , and there are still lingering interrogation as to why thehost of one of Fox ’s most - viewed shows was ax so abruptly .
The Lincoln Project has had its own fair second of argument . Back in 2021 , the tops PAC ’s execs were embroil in amajor scandalwith allegations longtime GOP shamus and project co - founder John Weaver sexually harassed more than 20 vernal men online .
