TheBroadwaystar was spotted on Monday walking a picket line outside a Warner Bros. building in New York City on Monday, holding a"SAG-AFTRA ON STRIKE!“sign and wearing a matching T-shirt.
Slater, 31, coordinated his mostly black look in a hoodie, loose slacks and a baseball cap, carrying a coffee cup in the opposite hand, with a white tote bag slung over his shoulder.
There was no sign of girlfriendAriana Grande, whose relationship with Slater PEOPLE confirmed back in July.

Grande, 30,settled her divorcefrom Gomez, 28, earlier this month, weeks after the singer filed for divorce in Los Angeles County on Sept. 18. The twotied the knot in May 2021.
At the time of the divorce filing, a source told PEOPLE that Grande and Gomez were “taking their time together to slowly work through the details of the agreement privately,” adding, “They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another through every step of this process.”
Calling the split “kind and patient,” the insider added that both Grande and Gomez have “moved on.”
After news of his relationship with Grande went public,Slater filed for divorcein New York on July 26, perTMZ. The reason for his split from Jay, whom he married in fall 2018, was not listed.
A day after Slater filed for divorce,Jay broke her silenceon her estranged husband’s relationship with Grande, noting that her main focus was on being “a good mom” to her and Slater’s child amid her divorce.

As for Grande and Slater, a friend of the couple told PEOPLE in early September, “While this entire situation has been blown out of proportion, it’s muchdifferent than what has been portrayed in public.”
“They are just trying to navigate their new relationship in private,” the source added.
On Sept. 25, photos surfaced of Grande and Slatervisiting a Disney Park together, marking one of their first public appearances as a couple.
“They went with a big group of friends as well her mom and brother and are really happy and really good for each other. All of her friends love him,” a source close to Grande told PEOPLE at the time.
Slater is currently in rehearsals for Broadway’sSpamalotrevival which opens Oct. 31.
