But when artistGabriel Dishawdiscovered a gem treasure trove of decorator suitcases while thrifting , theStar Warsfan could n’t defy the urge to apply them as the basis for a serial publication of artwork barrack by the franchise .
“ I was in northern Michigan on vacation and came across a stack of vintage Louis Vuitton baggage from the seventies at a small ex storage , ” Dishaw tells Mental Floss . “ A spark of creativity come over me . I knew that I could use these somehow , and had to have them before I forget . They did n’t come cheap , but as soon as I get home I protrude the painstaking process of taking them asunder . ”
