Some animals love a rainy day!
Earlier this month, theMaryland Zooshared asweet videoon its Facebook page in which a giraffe — named Caesar — catches raindrops on his long tongue and in his mouth.
“Rainy days bring peaceful vibes from the giraffe yard,” the Baltimore-based zoo wrote on social media. “Caesar finds joy in every drop.”
“I can’t stop watching this!” one user said, as another wrote, “I love these sweet videos.” One other added: “Great video of a gorgeous animal.”
Last month, the Maryland Zoo celebrated Caesar’s birthday with a celebratoryvideo shared on TikTok.

In the clip, Caesar is in his exhibit, approaching a zookeeper who holds a set of treats for the animal, including an edible figurine made in his likeness.
“I promise it’s stuff that you’ve eaten before,” the staff member tells Caesar, who appears a bit apprehensive to taste the treat.

After nibbling on some carrots and lettuce, zoo employees attempted one final time to feed Caesar the look-a-like item, though the giraffe still refused to try the edible gift.
“Happy 17th birthday, Caesar!” the zoo wrote in the birthday post’s caption. “Just like a picky teenager to not like his cake. 😂.”
