The recent TiVo addict is FCC Chairman Michael Powell ( who is also the Word of Secretary of State Colin Powell ) . At CES yesterday he very curiously called the new TiVo he catch for Christmas “ God ’s Machine ” and said that he wished he could use it to share shows with his baby , something that the television networks consider illegal . If only more people in Washington would actually employ new applied science like TiVo before they decided to create policy and communicate legislating about it . Always figured God for a ReplayTV kinda guy , peradventure Powell knows something we do n’t .
