Lifehacker foundthat Dropbox is running a beta tryout on its Modern Experimental Dropbox 1.3.12 software mightily now and will give you 4.5 GB of warehousing ( at 500 MB increments ) to test out some of the new features in Dropbox beta . What the Modern feature does is activate the automatic imports of photos and video recording from cameras , smartphones and SD cards . Basically , when you plug in a photographic camera to your computer , Dropbox will start uploading the pictures to your Dropbox and you ’ll part getting costless storage . Neat !

Of of course , as with any test software , you should be careful with indorse up your backups before you plunge powerful in but this in spades seems like a dead easy mode to grab 4.5 GB of Dropbox space .
