As the video started, Althoff, 26, insisted Alba had skipped her awkward phase while theHonest Companyco-founder stated that the assumption was incorrect.
Still, Althoff felt that theDark Angelalum had the liberty of missing out on “a normal person’s awkward stage.”
“If I showed you pictures of me when I’m saying awkward, you would be like — you would look at me differently,” the host claimed.
Alba then shed light on how she actually got an early start on the so-called cringe rite of passage.
“It’s so weird that I started using a curling iron and Aquanet hairspray at age, like, 5,” she confessed. “And no wonder I hadso much asthma.”

She added that she was “doing too much, too young,” while reminiscing about how she also “went through the colored eyeshadow phase” in her past. Alba continued sharing details about her younger years, stating that she would attend raves — which are known for their attendees wearing eye-catching looks.
However, theHoneyactress made it clear that she was responsible whenever she’d go to one.
“I went to raves, but I didn’t do drugs,” she told Althoff, who said she believed her guest.

Now that Alba’s rave days are over, she’s still doing her makeup, but nixing the “colored eyeshadow.”
In September, themother of threeshared a social media video of herself and her daughterHaven Garner, 12,getting glammed upto support Alba’s nephew at a school football game.
The clip started with the mother-daughter duo appearing fresh-faced in the frame together before a hand swipe showed off their end result.

During an October 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Alba said she wasraising her kids to help othersand appreciate the things they have.
“I always want my kids to have their feet on the ground and never to take anything for granted,” she said.
In September 2023, Alba proudly told PEOPLE that she and her kids have a “really healthy relationshipand unconditional love for one another,” adding, “I’m always going to be there for them.”
