It was a magical first wedding anniversary forJohn Stamosand Caitlin McHugh!
The couple celebrated their first year of being married Thursday at one of their favorite places on the planet: Disneyland, aka the Happiest Place on Earth!
The Anaheim theme park holds a special significance for the duo, whogot engagedat the Animation Academy in Disney California Adventure.

Stamos, 55, said he and McHugh, 32, were looking forward to showing their son the It’s a Small World ride, as well as the Enchanted Tiki Room during the park’s “Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration.”

On Oct. 22, 2017, after almost two years of dating, Stamosproposedat Disneyland. McHugh is an activeDisneybounder, a superfan who dresses up in character at the amusement park.
“The [pregnancy] happened. Then I said, I better have a ring on her finger because it’s the right thing to do, and I wanted to marry her anyway,” Stamos told PEOPLE exclusively in December 2017. “So I called her parents to ask, and it was like, ‘You better!’”
Before popping the question, Stamos screened a short film that he made of romantic moments from animated Pixar and Disney films, ending the display withThe Little Mermaid— which encouraged him to “just ask the girl.”
“She loves Disneyland and [at the park], I got on my knee and asked her,” Stamos said. “I pulled the ring out. I don’t know how she did it, but she went to hug me and slipped her finger right in it. When the park closed, we ran around the park in our Disney onesies.”

More than three months later, theFuller Housestar and the model and actresstied the knoton Feb. 3, 2018 at the Little Brown Church in Studio City, California. The reception was held at Stamos’ home in Beverly Hills.
McHugh wore a white, strapless ballgown with a tulle skirt, while Stamos wore a black tux. A source told PEOPLE, “Caitlin looked absolutely stunning in a princess dress.”
“They exchanged wows in front of family and close friends. It was a very touching ceremony. There were tears, but mostly smiles. John and Caitlin looked very happy.”
They thenheaded to Disney World for their honeymoon.
And two months after saying “I do,” the pairwelcomed little Billyon Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in Los Angeles.
“I cry a lot,” Stamostold PEOPLEfrom the red carpet of The Forum in Inglewood, California, more than one week after Billy’s birth. “It’s more beautiful than anyone told me it would be. I’ve been waiting a long time.”
