Although it has been years since Walter and Lohan have shared the screen, the two recently connected over the birth of Lohan and husbandBader Shammas' sonLuai, whose birth wasconfirmed to PEOPLE in July.
Walter told PEOPLE in September thatshe contacted Lohan “via social media” upon the newsof Luai’s birth and said that she “sent something to [Lohan’s] dad [Michael Lohan] to get to her next time he sees her.”
“She posted something and I think it was about being tired, and I immediately go into that mom mode of ‘nap when he does, make sure you get sleep, it doesn’t matter what you look like — you’re in great shape,’ just all the advice that comes out. But she’s just doing so well,” she told PEOPLE.

According to Walter, Lohan showed her maternal nature at an early age.
“I knew she was going to be a good mother when we worked with her because she walked around with her little brother, that little two-year-oldDakota [Lohan]. And she would just walk around with him on her hip carrying him around,” she told PEOPLE. “She was very good to her brothers and sister.”
